1) About Shubham Karoti
"Shubham Karoti" is a Sanskrit name meaning "It does good". It is a registered charitable Trust founded on July 22 Year 1994. The objective is to provide a holistic, integral Education to girls who are underprivileged in our society. The inauguration was done by Sri Sri Sri Vishvesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math, Udupi and Sri Ramdas M Kamat.
2) Maitreyi Gurukula:
Maitreyi is the name of a renowned lady dating back to Vedic times. She was a great debater of the highest order on philosophical topics. Gurukula means a centre for teaching and learning where the teachers and students live together in harmony like a big family.
Goal
The goal of the Trust "Shubham Karoti" is to achieve a "Healthy Cultured Society ".
A Healthy Cultured Society is self-sustainable and can make its people prosper and progress for higher values of life. Our forefathers have envisaged the higher values of life endearing the ethos and customs, beliefs and traditions, laid out in the Sanatana Dharma. This approach has led to attaining a Healthy Cultured Society which for generations made our country Bharat as "Vishwa Guru" to the entire world.
Objectives
The objectives of Maitreyi Gurukula is to impart value-based, holistic integral education together with suitable activities which can enable the students to develop one's total personality. In turn, such achievement should enable the person to become well Educated, Knowledgeable, Intellectual, Cultured and Capable to be a successful Entrepreneur or a Leader.
With all these gains one should be concerned, with protecting and building a Healthy Cultured Society and making our country once again a "Vishwa Guru".
